The Abderhalden vacuum drying apparatus, called a drying pistol for its shape, comprises a desiccant flask, drying chamber, round-bottom flask, and reflux condenser. This item is the drying chamber only, which connects the other parts: a 45/50 inner/male joint connects to the desiccant chamber, a 24/40 inner/male joint to the RBF, and a 25/40 outer/female joint to the reflux condenser. One photograph shows a sketch of where the desiccant chamber attaches. In this orientation, the bottom solvent RBF would attach nearer the viewer and the top reflux condenser would be away from the viewer. The material to be dried goes into the drying chamber, which is maintained at the vapor temperature of a solvent heated to reflux in the RBF. The interior part of the drying chamber is about 14 cm long and should accommodate objects up to the 4 cm inner diameter of the 45/50 joint. (See one photograph with a small ruler in the chamber.) Ships on the next business day by USPS Ground Advantage (USA only). Item: ADPDC
